Colonial Casters: 18th Century Troublemakers</a> June 19, 2021 Patrick Mooney In the 18th century, tradesmen like artisans printers, and orators were among the most influential voices in the lower rungs of society. A formal education in one of the few colonial universities was a rarity, usually the province of the landed gentry or well-to-do sons of New England merchants. Many young apprentices learned their trade through apprenticeships to master artisans, and from pamphlets and trade manuals that became increasingly affordable with the proliferation of printshops. These statblocks represent partisans, or non-combatant NPCs who might still prove useful allies or tricky adversaries for low-level adventures.
